Without careful attention, faith-based organizations drift from their founding mission. It's that simple. It will happen. Slowly, silently, and with little fanfare, organizations routinely drift from their purpose, and many never return to their original intent.
On our inaugural show of Lawyers for Jesus, we spoke to Peter Greer of Hope International, a global Christ-centered microenterprise development organization empowering the poor throughout Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. He is the author of Mission Drift: The Unspoken Crisis Facing Leaders, Charities, and Churches and we discuss this phenonmenon of orgnizations drifting from their original purpose and discuss how to stay on mission.
